Industrial and warehouse impact barriers — types and selection
An impact barrier is a steel guard that takes the hit from a forklift, pallet or car instead of a wall, rack, column or installation. ŁUK-PAL makes impact barriers to measure in Krapkowice: tubular and sheet-steel ones, bollards and rack guards. Each is made in yellow-black powder coating or hot-dip galvanised, for anchoring to the floor or concreting in.

Tubular bollard
Steel tube bollard. Protects doors, columns and installations along forklift routes.
LP-SW
Removable bollard
Bollard set in a ground sleeve. When removed it opens the passage, and a cover closes the sleeve.
LP-SP
Fold-down parking post
Fold-down post that blocks a parking space or passage. When folded flat it can be driven over.

Modular barrier
Two steel posts with replaceable panels. For separating routes and zones within a facility.
LP-P
Replacement panel
Spare or additional panel for the modular barrier. Replaced without removing the posts.
LP-OL
Linear impact barrier
Bent tube on two (U2) or three (U3, longer spans) legs. Protects walls, machines and installations along traffic routes.

Forklift and pallet guard rail
Low guard rail at the height of forklift wheels and forks or pallets (from 125 mm). Protects the lower parts of walls and racks.

Tubular frame around a door or passage. Protects the reveals and lintel against impact from forklifts or loads.

Impact barrier set in two sleeves. Removable when a passage or installation area needs to be cleared.

Handrail at approx. 1,100 mm and a low tube near the floor. Separates the walkway from the forklift route.

Self-closing safety gate
Swing gate with a return spring. Fitted in the pedestrian barrier where the walkway crosses a forklift route.

Posts with chain
Posts with holders and a striped chain. Quickly marks off a zone, passage or storage area.
LP-BD
Double-leaf gate
Double-leaf gate in a barrier or zone fence. A wider passage for trucks and people, latched in the middle. Complements the safety gate where a single gate is too narrow.

Tube guard on three sides of an electrical, distribution or control cabinet. The front stays open so the cabinet doors can be opened. Protects the enclosure from trucks and loads.

Wall-mounted pipework guard
Tube guard against the wall around vertical pipes, valves or a gas meter. The front stays open for servicing. Protects the installation from truck or vehicle impact.

We make all impact barriers to measure: any length, height, tube diameter and profile, also to the customer's drawing. The dimensions in the configurator are a starting point; others are agreed in the quote.

Frequently asked questions about impact barriers
What is the difference between a U2 and a U3 guard rail?
A U2 has two legs, while a U3 has an extra third leg under the middle of the crossbar, so it can be longer and stiffer. We make both to measure.
What guard rail height is best for protecting racks?
For pallet trucks a low guard rail, even from 125 mm, is enough. Forklifts are stopped by a guard rail 300–600 mm high, and walls and installations are protected by a version of about 1000 mm.
Can guard rails be galvanised and fitted with reflective tape?
Yes. We offer hot-dip galvanising, galvanising with painting or powder coating in yellow-black, RAL or a chosen colour, as well as reflective tape for better visibility.
How do I order impact barriers to measure?
Choose the type in the configurator, set dimensions, colour and finish, add it to the list and send it for a quote. We reply with an offer, lead time and installation costs.
Do you make impact barriers to our own drawing?
Yes. We produce to the customer's drawing or sketch, in any series, including single pieces.
